Who is Alistair Dunlop?

I always remember drawing and painting from a very young age.
Winning my first art competition around the age of eight.
I submitted a piece of art into my primary school summer competition.
The picture was a landscape scene of the picturesque village of Carradale. Showing the golf course and east end of the village.
A place we used to holiday every summer.
In my professional career I had 23 years experience as a technical illustrator.
First with an electronics training company, then with one of Scotland's leading
patent and trademark companies.

In September of 2012, I resigned from my Illustrator job, sold the house and left behind the land that I knew and loved. Then along with my wife, two daughters and a soon-to-be son-in-law, left Scotland for far away shores.
To start a new life on the other side of the world, in Western Australia, where we still live today. The family has grown since then, with the arrival of many Aussie Grandchildren for my wife and I to spoil.
And the Scottish Son-In-Law is still married into the family. With a second South African Son-In-Law now part of the family too.
As a pet portrait artist, I create realistic coloured pencil or soft pastel portraits of your beloved animals. Get in touch with Alistair to commission a portrait of your pet.
